Truck Works Inc (TWI) a Phoenix, Arizona based corporation and an original equipment manufacture (OEM) proudly integrates a proven technology with a new application providing its users with a huge advantage to their bottom line. This new cost effective solution involves an old technology by Hot Dip Galvanizing (HDG) Transportation Tanks (patent pending) HDG`s primary use in the liquids transportation industries proclaims to be the best cost savings seen in years. “The potable water industry primarily servicing volume drinking water distribution and dust abatement equipment will be revolutionized by this innovative new concept TWI has developed and will deliver a cleaner safer product. "Galvanization offers our customers a proven process of incurring relative corrosion resistance at an economical cost", said owner and founder of TWI, Colin Dickinson.
Due to the rising concerns involving environmental awareness issues, EPA mandates, and the common need for longer durations in liquid transportation tanks life expectancy, this is the most efficient and affordable process providing the user with confidence in the quality of the product being transported without the price tag.
“Previous to the new HDG process we’ve developed, our customers options were limited to stainless steel or an epoxy coating over bare steel. Epoxy coating, a commonly used element in the industry, has an inherited downside. If the coating is improperly installed or damaged, the steel underneath gets exposure and corrosion occurs. Stainless steel, although it has extreme resistance to corrosion, has a much higher price tag making it virtually unfeasible for most applications. HDG offers our customers an exceptional product that will be in service for many years to come,” said Robert Mundell, TWI partner and plant manager.
Additional benefits to using HDG includes a reduction in service repairs adding life to our customers equipment by eliminating the need to replace the tank as frequently, thus improving the value for their investment.
TWI is currently testing this product and is in the formal process of acquiring potabilty certification from the National Sanitary Foundation (NSF). Once the certification is acquired (soon) TWI will expand the availability of this process for use in other markets besides the potable water arena, as their first strategic move with focus towards other industries seeking cost effective solutions to additional liquids transportation. This HDG process is currently available in the 500 to 4000 gallon configurations for use in non-potable liquid transportation applications.
TWI started developing this process many years ago as an alternative to the cost of precious metals and the necessity for a cleaner safer less corrosive remedy for liquid transportation, early cost savings estimations HDG versus stainless steel are approximately 30% with life expectancy being equally beneficial.
With the HDG process these tanks are completely stress relieved after its process is completed. The HDG process enhances the end products use on or off road. Test results show that suitable paint coatings on galvanized steel achieve a synergistic effect in which the duplex coating lasts up to three times as long before maintenance as its equivalent paint coatings on black steel. These HDG tanks will be offered with a substantially greater warranty period than they have previously offered on our steel coated or lined tanks. TWI is the innovative leader in the tank manufacturing industry and will continue to remain one step ahead of there competition. |
